The same problem persisted with my aeotec 7 range extender.

Range Extenders and Security Issues

I also noticed that the backdoor lock worked sporadically, even after updating the Z-Ware controller's software. I upgraded the ISY (Intelligent Switching Hub) to version 5.3.2, but the issue persisted. When running a Node Detail query, I consistently saw 'security=None' for both range extenders.

Aeotec RE6 and RE7 Modules

I replaced my RE6 modules with newer RE7 modules, hoping it would improve communication. However, the backdoor Kwikset SmartCode deadbolt continued to work sporadically, and I couldn't achieve security-S0. I also added a second Aeotec RE6 module on the second floor, about 12 feet away from the ISY. Despite this, the Node Detail query still showed 'security=None' for both range extenders.

When I initially set up my Kwikset SmartCode deadbolt locks (912 Lever door lock on the backdoor and 914 Deadbolt lock on the front door), both were connected to the ISY at version 4.7.5. After running a Node Detail query, both locks showed 'security=S0,' which was expected.
